No wonder, since T250 also has the same location of fast-port.

The fastport itself is ugly so it should not be on the top or at least have a cover.

they shouldn't have a fast port at all.

Everyone prefers Micro USB and a 3.5mm plug

It clear that SE have difficutries producing Higer end devices, and will NOT producing JAPANEESE phone again due to unability to follow advancement of Japaneese standart.

Se is a trully KING of MID-LOW END Phones

It simply means SE will not be straddling both the Japanese NTTDocomo AND non-Japanese market. It will still be making phones for AU in Japan - the W61s for example.

Are there many phone manufacturers that are successful both within the Japanese market and also compete on a global scale? I can't think of many.

Correct.

DoCoMo are a very demanding customer, whose phones are absolutely feature packed with the very very very latest in technology and also they are specifically adapted to the Japanese market (e.g. no GSM support).

Good for DoCoMo customers.

Bad for SE (+ other manufacturers) as it means they end up with a handset that is unsellable on the world market, restricting the sales of that handset to DoCoMo customers only.

DoCoMo has approx. 50 million subscribers. Lets be generous and say for example, 40% of them change there handset every year = 20 million handsets per year.

That market of 20 million handsets has to be divided between all the vendors (lets say 10 vendors, which is 2 million each) and all the handset models (lets say 5 different models from each vendor).

That means any one handset model has a production run of 400,000 units.

When you look at the development costs, type approval and certification costs, distribution and marketing costs and the warranty/repair costs, it is difficult to justify the investment.

So what I understand from the announcement is that SE will stop making DoCoMo specific handsets and focus on the world market, where there are better volumes of scale to be had.
