LOL @ my k850,
No harm is done to it and i havent dropped it once on the floor.

maybe you should drop it !!
My dog pulled the usb cable once accidentally and drop it down. It was just 2 days new. nothing happened. no brod ever (i've run all the firmwares), no dust just squiking back side. In every update its getting better. in a few days i'll cellebrate its birthdays !! and hopefully i'll have my new phone !! (c905 or w902 second choice).

I think i've dropped my k800 too and k700 once or twice. (OK. not all the time), might work ....

OMG OMG OMG

Vodafone Slovenia has finaly uploaded the new firmware! It took them 9 months! The last option was the old shitlike R1DA038 and now its the R1FA035. Thank god... I've just tried taking a photo with flash at close distance... I was shocked to see no flashburns.

Well, I hope it won't die now.

Run your finger nail carefully around the edge to remove the platic cover. Be careful to maintain the sticker that holds it on.

Clean your light sensor with a toothpick

Mine too.

Given I have dropped mine a few times the case has survived much better than my previous phones.

Well, mine is Week 38 build, which means that it is one of the first k850 phones that made out from the factory. I bought it 21 october last year or something.

I forgot to mention that the fastport looses sound with my headphones a second, and the charger wont connect sometimes.

I wont do anythign to it myself because if I do the warranty is gone and the keypad-surface and loose displayglass can't be fixxed for free.

N85 in a month or two, so no need to really worry anyway

Can you explain more this procedure? Is it true that if you remove this glass the quality of the cam will improve?

well, yeah, it did improved somehow but not to the level of '"Wow" but in the level of "hmmm.."
It feels empty without the glass cover.. I placed mine back after a short time.
