they used to be, but because of the new updates they made them into some kind of weird file. Its like a single file/database whcih holds all the pictures. Meaning you can't just see all the individual files.

If you right-click on a picture in iPhoto you can choose "Show original" (or something similar).
Or you can right-click on the "iPhoto Library" file in the Finder and choose "Show Package Contents".
Once inside the package you can see all the files as before. You could also make an alias to the photos folder inside the package, and put it somewhere handy to make it easier to access them later.

Yeah i can't get on the web at all?, wifi works at home no problem. I have an o2 3g sim so i think this is the problem
