Se are trying to be sneaky, with the whole not changing the video res up...i think its completely not on!

Somebody said earlier though, that this is not going to be the best se have to offer, k series wise in 2006...and they are right...se will release the K900 in november, as they did the w900 last year. 3.2cam with qvga video and a 1gb card included

I doubt that theyll release a K900 in November... Maybe the K850 next year but not this year...

At the rate they are going I would expect more than a couple of Cybershot phones this year and I suspect the K800i is not even a high end phone.

Nearly 20 phones have been announced this year already and very few people on Esato new about them as there were so few leaks...

SE are definitely going to (hopefully) release more and more Cybershot phones. And maybe goldenface is right when he says that the K800 may not be the high end phone that we think it to be. I can see SE announcing them with gaining momentum, i.e. like what they did with the series. Start off with the K800 (aka W800), wait a while and then release a cheaper alternative (aka W550), then a higher end one (aka W900) and to finish off with a broad portfolio. Then the same will happen with the Handycam phones, then the Fashion phones and Smartphones. I can see the beginings of SE's market segmentation already.

And just to add. SE needed the Cybershot series to sell its camera phones. Nokia heavily emphasized the 'Carl Zeiss' lens in their N90 and created the public perception that the N90 was a superior camera phone in relation to the K750.

I think you guys have it wrong!
The K-series K700 up is high end mobiles, the W-series W800 up is high end phones for the younger generation...

So a New K-series K800 up wont be launched this year! Besides what new features will it have?? HSDPA??

Its already feature packed IMO!
So theres no need to bring out a better K-series phone this year...

Well since there are now about 8 devices I would expect at least another 3-4 Cybershot phones.

Also, just because we don't know about them, doesn't mean they're not there

The way i see it is...

Everyone knows that se release the majority of their phones at big confrences, and we know 3gsm is comming up in september...

Also, that they have only just announced a lot of W series phones for the Da Vinci Code event...so it is very unlikely that they will produce more w series phones this year.

This leads to thinking that if they are going to release anything else this year, it will be in the K series.

In reply to an earlier post, i dnt think it is un realistic to release a higher end k series this year...think about the W800 last year, that was high end, but they still released the W900 towards the tail end of the year..

Now obviously, se don't want to impact sales of the k800 too much by releasing a different phone to compete with, so they will give it 4 months or so to let the hype die down a bit.

So...that leaves us in..november time...hmmm..2 months after the september confrence...that sounds like the right time to announce now doesent it?

Lets just wait and see....3gsm will be very interesting...i guarantee that.

Im never a fan with people that start of saying "everyone knows"

Anyway Ill bet 5 000 000 esato dollars that will NOT release another K-series phone... That means higher than the K800!!
