I've added ya, welcome to the BB family

Much like everyone else seems to be saying on here, once you go Black(berry), you never go back

I've got the option of upgrading next month to a new new shiny expensive phone, like an N82 or N95-8GB or W960i etc, but I've almost decided that because I need my BB so much I'm going to get the upgrade and sell it lol

Or just wait for the 89XX or 9XXX series?

True but the longer I wait for this upgrade, the longer I have to wait for the next one. It's better to get mine at the end of April, flog that and my 5610 (money money money money....money!) and then end of March next year upgrade to a newer BB. Or buy one in the summer, either way

Hey Thanks to everyone for the add, special thanks to tmagberry for the help in setting up and patience. Also thanks to Reg for the push into BB Ok enough of the awards ceremony speech haha.

I am truely impressed this is the first time since I cant remember when that I have used a none 3G phone (I lie I used an iphone but only for a few days) and I am quite impressed with the edge speed doesnt seem to be to much of a lag.

Ok so the MAPS are a bit of a let down but I will be looking to invest in a copy of Garmin XT which served me well on my N95-8Gb. I know some of you might be using google maps how you getting along with that?

I am a bit of a purist and therefore for Sat Nav i use a stand alone. TeleNav might be the answer for you.

For music, i use a seperate mp3, but the BB functions are good enough to use day to day

So I will be sending my BB away to have this done, alternatively I will just buy a new housing and send that to them to be painted reduce the down time of no phone.

Very cool looking, but do you really want to void your warranty so soon after you've got it? :/

If I can be honest, with regards to warranties I have never used them in my life I guess being that I dont keep a phone longer than 6 months its not really an issue for me and on a side note I guess there is always home insurance as a last resort.

Or the power of persuasion also works

True, but if it breaks in a few days of next week, you're screwed

CAn i say that O2 have a f***ing cr*p warranty response system.

By Curve died, and i mean shut down. I have sent it to repairs and guess what , they reckon there is water damage but regardless of what i say or prove, they are prepared to drag it out so i miss out on my years warranty.

O2 cant find the fault with the phone and so they use s*it excuses to get round their obligations.

Rant over...

I know I SHOULD defend them, it's built into my programming

But to be fair, I had a similar problem a couple of years ago with a K750i. This is before we were O2 (still The Link), so I spoke to the manager to 3 seperate occasions and eventually they arranged a replacement via the head of the repair centre. And what he told me (and I find this invaluable), it's not what you know, its who you know.

Anyway, there's one thing you need to take into account, O2 don't do the repairs for BlackBerry.

It's one of the few manufacturers where we HAVE to send it to BlackBerry themselves, our repair centre won't touch it I'm afraid, thus taking even longer.

Try giving BB a call and see if they'll sort something out (the companies themselves don't like it when angry customers call, so they throw replacements at them to get rid of them ).
