I have been using one for a couple of days. It looks nice and all but I am so angry with it and have therefore returned it. Its a near complete phone and they claim it has a 1Ghz processor but it feels like 50Mhz. It is so 5hit and infuriating that I cannot even touch the thing. My X1 is slow because its old so I can deal with that but a 1Ghz phone that is so slow is incredible. Satio is like this ladies and gents and it totally pi55e5 me off, I cannot take it when something is done so badly. It doesn't even come near the HD2 and never will.

are way off, the HTC Hero is faster and I bet that even the retail version will of X10 will be slower. Sorry for the rant.
Wow. that is an interesting perspective. From the recent videos we've seen the software seems to have sped up considerably. Maybe you had a much older version? You're usually pretty neutral in your impressions and I always look forward to seeing what you have to say. It's still about 3 months til the retail version so I'm not too worried and won't be until say end of January and the software still isn't top notch.
Could you let us know if you had the most recent software?

moog youll find that the internet hates SE and that even with a winner they all hate.
when someone dumps all the bloatware from the actual X10 shell burn!
i have no doubts the hardware is too clutch, and android is too lightweight for it to be bad, android was quick on the 528mhz devices so this should be better more clock and ram, so well see. but for now with the scape apps sifting through every site for updates constantly its gotta hurt the phone for everyday use. the android parts are very fast and the internet radios are crazy quick , you see the web pages load on this thing, they all say 3G too not wifi in the notification bar, beautiful.
engadget/giz hate on SE and WM you cant take what they say seriously cuz if its not an iPhone its already coming up short.

I didn't mention anything about internet reviews as they have all been somewhat positive. I was referring to badassmam's impressions as he seems to bash it completely. I have no doubt x10 will be fine by the time it's released and hopefully with a android 2.0 update waiting in the wings.

I had a show off unit. I'm not a hater at all but its amazing that a 1Ghz processor is so slow therefore its either bad programming or the hardware right? Its way off being finished but I was really disappointed with it. You're probably correct in saying that Scape is to blame. I have no issues with anything else, hardware is excellent. Similar things going on with Satio, too many bugs and crappy UI spoil what should be a fantastic phone. Sense UI is lovely to look at, functional and fast so whats the issue with

flopping? Those who think a miracle will happen within 3 months and a perfect phone being released are mistaken. It doesn't happen so easily. I'm totally sick of trying out protos and stuff, its just a pain in the neck because they usually suck. Only the designs interest me.

@badassmam
sounds like you had an old version that was shown off on Nov. 3rd at the announcement. The ones in the recent videos have the "public announcement" sticker on them. Not sure if this makes a huge difference but from the sound of things it was very slow.
I think SE will come through and provide a more responsive UI. The recent vids have the scapes running fairly well. Worst case scenario we can flash the phone to a standard android OS right? or overlay senseUI if we really want.
I have faith

SE was able to speed up Satio to a respectable and usable speed. I'm sure they can do the same with X10.

@badassmam
so do you think it wuld be a better idea to get the HTC HD2 instead of waiting for X10? Oh and is HTC brewing anything else thats interesting?

You seem to have come out of no where with all these insulting remarks toward badassmam. He's been a trusted "insider" for awhile and has given us information that keeps this and the rumor thread going. If you are indeed a prototype tester then great. Share your information and add to the forum. You need not insult or degrade another forum member. You speak like an immature little child.

as i have said on the page before, should people really be 'putting down' a phone which is only in a prototype state? sure we can have opinions on them, but the way some people are talking, forums and review sites/tech blogs, are as if the x10 will be a complete failure, just going by its current state! (which looks quite decent at the moment imho, things are improving rapidly going by new videos). it has the hardware to boot, its obviously just software issues, and 3 months is plenty to fix things.
