Well, they already answered your question

That, however, will take at least a good six months or more in order for chip manufacturers like ST-Ericsson and Texas Instruments to release their latest SoCs.

Well it seems time is not an issues since this SoC would be ready by Q4 '13, it really only depends on Sony's decision weather they will go for it.

A Rogue 6 GPU might be powering the Q4 Sony flagship but it's not certain at this moment. Sony is deciding between NovaThor A9600 and MSM8974 for its Q4 flagship.

I don't want to be harsh but dream on to see PowerVR G6630 in very near future

we haven't seen the first batch of "Rogue" series (G6200 - G6400)

IMHO, If Sony can handle battery issue, I'm sure they will use Novathor - Cortex A15 to compete with the rest of market.

Just so I can try to understand this thing:

The Snapdragon S3 Scorpion is like the Intel Core i7 1st gen.
The Snapdragon S4 Krait is like the Intel Core i7 2nd gen
The Snadragon S4 Pro is like the Intel Core i7 3rd gen.
And that Rogue is like a (imaginary) Intel Core i7 4th gen?

Rogue is a GPU series not chipset like snapdragon.

If Sony expects huge sales for 2013 with the Q4 flagship to bring the biggest contribution, can ST-Ericsson handle huge production if indeed they pick U9600 for their next flagship?

Oh.

Anyway, put the Q4 flagship chipset in the place of the Rogue. Then the comparasion is right? I'm just trying to understand this thing lol

It's more like this

S3 = 1st gen Core i3 + Integrated GPU

S4 = 2nd gen Core i5 + Mid range Dedicated GPU

S4 Pro = 2nd gen i7 + Upper mid range Dedicated GPU

A9600 (with Rogue GPU) = 4th gen i5 + High end Dedicated GPU
