@sype
The removal of the backup and restore app has been known for a long time now so it should really have been expected and been prepared for. There are plenty of backup and restore apps on the android marke including some good free ones.
As for your reboot problem. Try reflashing the phone again and then start the phone but only go through the initial setup. Leqve the phone on the homescreen for about 5mins then reboot the phone. Then sort all the settings etc that you want in the phone.
It can take a while for the phone to reconfigure itself after flashing. Also. As Gingerbreads filesystem is sorted a little differently (including memory card folders) its advisible to backup you memory card onto your computer. Format the memory card via Gingerbread and then transfer all your content back.

Might help in sorting your problem out.

Still nothing for Global Generic software. I'd have thought the Generic Global firmware would have been one of the first to be made available.

What's the easiest way to backup all apps and user data before upgrading to 2.3 for unrooted X10? Thanks

wasn't that a couple days ago? people are confirming GB updates so it seems it has gone live now. I will probably have to wait another week or so for the x10a

odd, remove the battery and then turn it back on, if still has the same problem, then try to reflash the firmware?
