With the 3 I have, I have gotten brod on one of them but this was due to a bad battery. The other 2 are still running fine, with no real issues. So I guess its the luck of the draw with the brod prone versions. I would tell someone else to purchase this phone most definitely.

Well, I never experienced BROD, but I had the D-PAD and TOUCH SENSITIVE BUTTONS problem which sent me straight to repairs. Good thing there was the one-year warranty.
And I know I'm not the only one who had that problem before.

Well the touch board buttons problem is as common as BROD in some K850s... I think that's hardware problem.

Well nobody knows for sure, and people don't want to jump-in without hard proof that its really going to surface.

It may be out when the new phones (C905 and others) are out as a last gift from to the old DB3150 K850 users.

Been 3 months since I posted, is there a new firmware?

My phone is driving me absolutely insane now, its always turning itself off (done it about 6 times in the last 24 hours), the battery is shockingly bad (only 2 days from it with absolutely zero usage), and a lot of the time, it doesn't start charging when I connect it cause I get a message saying the battery isn't an offical Sony Ericsson one. Its got to the stage now where I just want to launch it against a wall, I've got another 9 months left with it though

I'd be even more upset if I actually used the camera aswell cause thats just woeful.

Love the phone itself and I dont want to have to get rid of it for something else but its absolutely laden with problems.

yeah, maybe it will be its last firmware too. At least they should upgrade the cam driver - to the fullest!
