OK,I'm having problems with this Stock Gingerbread 2.3.3 I flashed from the new Flashtool thread on XDA.Reboots galore.Might have to wait until its officially released in South Africa.Its strange because when my phone is in Aeroplane Mode or just GSM only in Preferred network mode the phone is absolutely fine.Works flawlessly.Its when I choose the WCDMA only or GSM / WCDMA (preferred) in the settings that the phone every now and again reboots itself.Most annoying.I think it has issues with this new 2.1.71 Baseband.It doesnt like my 3G/3.5G connection.Any ideas?

@Tsepz Get Gingerbread on your damn phone.I need to share notes.I have to have 3G/3.5G or whats the point.I wonder when its gonna be available for us here in South Africa.That should solve my problem.

If anyone else is having a random reboot issue after flashing the Generic version 2.3.3 build 3.0.1.G.0.75 from XDA please let me know and how you solved it,if you did.

@Hobbs

I recall reading on the XDA thread while i was skimming through, someone saying that SE is optimizing the update for the different markets. Perhaps that's the issue you're having though that would be pretty strange. Hopefully once the official update comes out for S.A., your reboot problems will be resolved. In the mean time, hope you can figure it out.

I'm currently waiting for the update here in the America. I've read people with X10a's updating with the tool on XDA but I'm weary and don't have a problem waiting another week or so to get the official.

Good luck.

@Hobbs
Someone in a forum had the same problem and it was solved with the repair option on SEUS. Maybe the fix is as simple as that or a reflash.

The update is really sweet for me as I've never tried any custom roms before because none of them had a fully functional SE camera which I am highly dependant on so this was quite a jump One weird thing I have to mention though, I flashed to German Generic before I could update with SEUS but after it updated to gb my kit is now World Generic. Doesn't make sense right? Other than that some media files I had on the memorycard are missing now. They probably got erased due to a reshuffling of the filing system on gb so it's good practice that you back up the contents of your memorycard before updating So far everything about the update is great except that the screen is somewhat a wee bit less responsive on the stock browser and features for the stock music player has been stripped practically bare with only the addition of the equalizer to make it useable. I miss updating my album art on demand already Wifi signal seems stronger and waiting time to use data connection after switching it on is considerably less. Speed is excellent but of course this is coming from someone who's never used a custom Rom

Does anyone have a rooted X10 on stock gingerbread already? I need to make screenshots and somehow MPE is not working. All market screenshot apps need to be rooted

Reflashed the phone numerous times with the same result.
The reboots are so random that I can't tell what's causing it.
The first signin to the Market is where it all starts.Up
until then everything seems fine.Random reboots after
that.Going to do a repair.Im sure the update I get
through PCC or SEUS will work perfectly.Im all flashed out.

I updated my X10 to the pre-rooted 2.3.3 version posted @ XDA... All i have to say is that speed improvements alone are enough for recommending it... In my case the phone is so smooth while scrolling through the app tray, contacts, everything...

Quite happy to have root too

Ill break down some points Im loving about this update:

-Camera UI: Responsiveness improved, the picture saving process takes less time, have not tested video yet.
A Con: Vignette does not longer show the auto flash option, now its only "Flash Off".

-Music player: EQ and Playlists in the native player are a good addition.
Media Discovery is fine, with it, you can check out media content posted by your friends @ Facebook.
The music widget is nice.
-Gallery: Much better than the one included in Eclair, better looking and more functional.

-Arc Launcher: I really like this new launcher, it lets you have folders in the menu bar, which is a great convenience.

-OS UI: Quite nice looking, i prefer it over the stock 2.1.

Overall, this update is totally worth it, besides, you get extra functionallity, i.e.: Wifi Tethering and native flash support, which works great.

On a side note, the Sony Ericsson Backup and Restore app did work for me (fortunately), as I had the most recent backup of my contacts and SMS/MMS in that app... Dont know if it is because my phone is rooted, but i recall SE saying that it wouldnt work... Im glad I tried anyway....

Thats all I can think for the moment, however, there is more to it than this....

Thanks SE for this.... and thanks DoomLorD and XDA for the rooted version...

Hope this little review clears up any doubts you might still have... If you have questions, fire them up this way

@caff111: I used mybackup and SE Backup and restore app, I lost my progress in Angry Birds and Yoo Ninja though

EDIT: I just ran quadrant, neocore and linpack...here are my results:

Quadrant: 939 (yesterday, my best run was 1040)

Neocore: 26.2 FPS

Linpack: 36.753
