Amen to that. The d-pad was very appealing to me.

The c902 design looks so ordinary, and the screen is smaller too.

This coming November I will go to an SE shop and I will have my casing/cover replaced with the black-blue-silver one, but with a twist - i will ask the technicians to keep the green lining at the side.

How cool is that?

If there's nothing I can do with the firmware (but maybe soon there is), at least i can modify the outside.
Besides, I'm skipping over the C905 and expect its successor.

Personaly i prefer my K850 over C902. The design of the K850 is so techy, futuristic, compact and pockectable. The whole phone is just so well balanced, its screen is a beautiful and a nice size (not big, but not small either). I love its dpad, its different, in a good way, makes other phones look boring and ordinary. Mine is pretty stable and enjoyable to use. Hopefully we do get a new fw update, i dont want a boring C902.

I totally agree with you . The k850 is good ! I like touchpad , its so cool and fast to use , you dont need to push something just gently slide your finger ... The first firmwares was slow , but new ones is faster and I m still waitting for a new one to fix last few bugs ...

I would like just one more update. Recently I experienced some random restarts (with R1FA035) when I browse the net or use the media player, and this restarts occur more and more often, so I think BROD is close in. So I would feel more comfortable, if in a next firmware (if there will be a new one) wouldn't have the threat of BROD, and it would be more stable. AND I wish the camera to make photos with more natural (red) colours, and at least little more sharpness.
Anyway I like this phone, it looks great, it has a special design, and I like the touch buttons too. BUT without an update I will buy a C905 (wich is, nearly perfect, but it is a slider and it's heavy), or a "Kate" (wich probably will have no GPS and no video call camera -sadly, but I hope the image processing and sensor will be like the C905's).

Just updating my firmware to the latest one. If this doesn't fix the bugs then I'm definitely getting rid of this rubbish phone and buying a Nokia 6300

If you feel that a BROD is eminent or that your phone seems less stable, backup your data and perform a re-flash of the current firmware which should warn you of the loss of data and should be a full re-flash. Chances are that doing so will help solve your problem.

All of us here wish for one last firmware with maybe a bit more speed/stability and a few more tweaks to the camera (R3xxxx?) but chances are very slim that SE is even paying attention to the K850 users any more.

I am wondering why this has not appeared on Watchdog, consumer good programme in the uk, due to the ammount of probems I dont understand why this has not been featured on their programe.

coz it doesn't concern a 100 percent of all k850 users worldwide?
Lets just say that all of us esato readers using k850 comprise about 15 or lease percent of all k850 users in the whole world.

Sarcastic isn't it?

I always thought that I will not see another person beside me to use K850 in my community (there even has no SE commercial in the local tv) because of its imperfections.
But just a couple of weeks, I just saw 8 to 10 k850 users.
And they seem pretty well with it.

I know a couple of them, and they don't seem to be worried that much as I do (and I am not even 'that' worried myself).

I'm just starting to feel that we were the beta testers, and the next K850 consumers are the lucky ones.
I bought mine December last year.

Yes Sniper I agree with you...

I bought mine in December too for 825 USD in my country Brazil... And all those bugs now it cust here ''only'' 450 USD. Pretty expensive for a BETA tester

As I can see you have a green too, pretty rare as i can see, Does SE dosen't sell anymore the green ones? Only the Quicksilver and Velvet Blue?

Wish that will really have an R3 update..

800 usd? why so pricey?

I bought mine for 19,800 php (422 usd) last year - brand new with SE warranty.

And it's current price in my country is about 15,000 php (320 usd).
Yours is a bit costly...

Jeah... beta testing :S

I bought mine around new year for 370€ and full of bugs, now you can get it for 200 € with the new bug-free firmware.

This sux...

But I learned my lesson. No more fresh phones! At the moment, I'm looking at the new c902 and in about one year, when I will be buying a new phone, it should be without shitlike FW and at a low price.
