Hi
I think this is a good thing if sony offers a different experience than samsung. It may be better or worse for you, wait until you see it. Personaly i want a big screen and could not care less about a pen, i always have a bag in my hand. Togari may now be what i take if honami is a deception.
I know what U is!
Sony read this thread and made a U turn!
This is Xperia Z Ubuntu!
Only problem, ubuntu is not ready...
Aurelius, just sit back, relax, enjoy even!
You really, really, don't have to worry about a thing.

Hence why I said the best Phoablet, because I wasn't talking about the best Phablet; until Summer 2014
Phoablet? Honami is a 5" phone. Don't confuse people
Phoablet : between a phone and a Phablet.

As what I have read through docs, Togari is meant to be an entertainment phone. They emphasize very little on the stylus, though it is dedicated, so that means it does come with one. All advertisements will be centered around the processor and the new screen tech as the "movie-like experience".
As for the name, I'll say XZU. You guys can figure out what the U stands for
Xperia Z Unlimited? Because, if this is an entertainment phone then they will be pushing music-unlimited and video-unlimited with it.
or
Xperia Z Ultimate
Just my thoughts

you should hve properly read what unknown13x said...
Acc. to him togari will hve some kind of hover technology "maybe floating touch" which will absolutely rule out the need of stylus and digitisers maybe with some clever use + togari's screen will also be compatible with stylus and pencil so that stylus/pencil lovers hve no problem...
Acc. To all this Togari will actually hve a two in one kind of utility which even the note 3 might fail to offer...
I think you're downplaying the precision advantage of a digitizer pen too much, those pens are pressure sensitive aside from being hover touch capable, having control over the depth of your handwriting makes writing on a touchscreen itself so natural, I suggest you try using Photoshop touch on a galaxy note with a true digitizer pen and an iPad with a wacom bamboo stylus to see the difference between pens with and without the pressure sensitivity

unless Togari's screen tech would make some work on it I don't think it'll offer as much comfort as it would be on note 3 or even Duo 11/13.

Hi all, new to the forum but have been following this thread for the previous 100 or so pages over the past couple of days - needless to say I'm insanely excited for the Honami!!
As for the Togari, there's a rumor that Sony is working with a company called Neonode, a manufacturer of touch screen sensors. The benefit of their sensors is that they're optical input rather than capacitive. The benefits also include a faster polling rate so writing and drawing looks more natural. There are a bunch of other tricks this could enable, such as depth sensing, ability to use nonstandard objects, as previously mentioned (pencil), and I'm sure much more.
Don't want to label these as true rumors, but the news about these two companies working together and the list of Togari specs makes me think they're connected.
Anyway, looking forward to see more upcoming info, BRING ON THE HONAMI!!

Hey guys, honestly what is the big deal with 13mp? What size do you print pictures taken with your phone?
Also what is the resolution of your tv, i mean full hd is about 2mp, did not check but 4k may be 8mp max?
8mp sounds more than enough for a phone no?

Cropped sections of 13MP pics will look better, you just have more of the picture to play with when editing.
Personally, I set mine to 9MP but it's always nice to have the 13MP option.
Hey, great 1st post
Rockarel, bring on Honami.

What would be great with pixel binning technology:
Be able to select the resolution when taking a shot, with presets that give you just the number of pixel you need for certain print sizes in 300 dpi, but maximising the usage of the sensor estate, so you can capture the max light possible.
You could be able to change it every picture as you can change the ISO.
You want to add a mm or two for cropping or the photograph paper cut? One small touch and get a little bit more pixels, a little bit smaller.
Sony, please consider building this kind of sensor tech, many thanks!
In the mean time, bring on the honami
