Happi Wellingtons to all of you too...may your Wellingtons protect your feet from the harsh reality that love is actually a lot of effort;-)
@ Wanqa, comment on the pictures when I am logged in and can see them.
I was never really interested in history, never will extensively be, but Shaka's stuff was interesting. Other than that I enjoyed hearing about the stuff, but HEARING, not repeating it later. Want to know what happened and beyond that I don't care. I can learn from the past without being able to give you exact dates...Besides, who says that they were always 100% correct with the dates? Maybe a day got lost here and there when someone overslept a day, the guy in charge of the calendar, or whatever..hehe! I prefer reading time magazine, that is, when the world is not too boring, and at the moment, it isn't.

@ wanqa, the wheels, she is pretty! Good colour;-)
So, did anybody notice Google today? No, not the logo...That is normal for any special day(other than my Birthday! But the day they start celebrating my birthday with a special logo just for me, I will be freaked out) Google seems to be giving away Gmail accounts without the normal Invite method...now the question, just for Wellington's day, or forever?! Guess I will know tomorrow...

@ Kryptik,
LOL boet, you certainly have a wonderful way with words, boet.
(pardon the alliteration.)
@ Francois,
Some interesting info in those links there. According to one of the local Orange shop's sales assistants that I spoke to on Monday, Orange were having problems with the HTC Vox's battery life (called the M700 by Orange) when they were testing it a few months ago, perhaps the problem has been rectified by HTC by now.
Back on the history thing, the subject seems to have a love/hate relationship with people. (don't most subjects?)
Ya, history is written by the winning side, isn't it? Fortunately we have the 'net etc. at our disposal nowadays...
So much of the initial appreciations for a subject at school has to be how the teacher presents and 'lives' the subject. I remember one of my high school history teachers encouraging debate and questioning the political status quo of SA in the late 80's; the subject was made relevant to us.
In stark contrast, most of my Aarddruipskunde and Maths teachers needed a lot to be desired...
It's easy to tell when a subject is delivered by as teacher who's merely doing it for a 'job', or someone who is passionate to impart the knowledge in interesting and relevant ways. As regards pupils learning in the latter context, that's half the battle won already...

Remember those live pics that I took of that prototype Symbian LG handset called 'JOY' at the Smartphone Show in October?
LG have now officially launched and named it the KS 10. Thank goodness they didn't keep the 'JOY' name...

Also, here's some more info and pics of Samsung's unique new smartphone, called the F520, care of mobileburn:

@ wanqa, my English teacher was like 10 billion years old, so she really was at all the history events, so that made English really interesting. Well, I was top of the class, and got along well with her, unlike most other students. But she gave detailed info on anything and anywhere, and put everything in context. My Aardruipskunde onnie had bomb shock though from being a paratrooper or something. I spend my periods wasting away in a constant giggle due to him being so odd and funny, and no one else really got it like me...I failed miserably...I remember him once coming up to me, me in constant fits of laughter, and telling me I need to pay attention, but i could not stop laughing...hehe!
So at our
rich@$$ school today, I ended up talking to Heather, the PA get things done lady. We were discussing fonts, then she said that this one (showing me one) she used on making Saron Gas's CD cover. I then remembered her husband used to be their drummer, can't remember why he did not go on with Seether, but I can remember it was quite a sensitive situation, so did not pry anymore than that.

@ Francois,
Was that their 'Fragile' album cover?
Always wondered why they spelt it 'Saron Gas' and not 'Sarin Gas'...

@ama When you are playing .wma files with your n73, can you change the volume? (use the player 'onboard' and not 3-th party) Damn the n73 is guite nice all arounder. (mine come with latest fm - 12 audio codecs installed) I use it for a week now and still wonder :) N70 is like a donkey cart compared to this 'f1'. The n70's screen looks so . . . outdated - I can't believe I've put up with it for 1year. Mind you is the same as my old 7650 -just more colors. Do you use opera at all? the build in browser is not to bad :)

@ Mario,
Yes, I can change the volume of a .wma file while playing, using the camera zoom buttons on the side of the phone; the joystick only plays and pauses the song when pressed, or used to vertically scroll through the music players options on screen.
Secondly, I use the standard browser on this phone; which as you know, is OK.
S60 like a F1 car? You oughta give UIQ a try then, boet...
Warp speed, Mr Sulu...
