When CPW have returned my phone to me following repair it was flashed with the '035 firmware. I've been using an old blackberry while it was in repair and decided it was time to try again with the K850. I thought I'd give the firmware update a go before I configured it (so i can master reset when done) and it started downloading one. However it didn't tell me the version, and now it's done it still reports as R1FA035 :S

Yesterday I wrote an email to Sony Ericsson Romania asking if there is any chance for a new firmware version for the K850i. The answer arrived today, minutes ago, and states something along the lines of "this information is not available from Sony Ericsson". Since I addressed the local representatives, I suppose that by "from Sony Ericsson" they mean the headquarters, the big daddy of all subsidiaries.
This is not unusual (for local SE not to know what the big SE is planning concerning a particular firmware). So all we can do is wait and run SEUS from time to time (and -- me in particular -- plan for my next
non-SE phone).

R1FA036 tells us that it isn't completely new, but only some "1 point adjustment" away from R1FA035.
Are we desperately waiting for this? only this?
Hopefully not just this single digit change...
