Yesterday I wrote an email to Sony Ericsson Romania asking if there is any chance for a new firmware version for the K850i. The answer arrived today, minutes ago, and states something along the lines of "this information is not available from Sony Ericsson". Since I addressed the local representatives, I suppose that by "from Sony Ericsson" they mean the headquarters, the big daddy of all subsidiaries.
This is not unusual (for local SE not to know what the big SE is planning concerning a particular firmware). So all we can do is wait and run SEUS from time to time (and -- me in particular -- plan for my next non-SE phone).

Already took that step.... Tired of Sony Ericsson Bull towards its firmware issues on release and how they dealt with the k850. Good chance the k850 will end up like the p990.

Check out the HTC touch diamond if you are interested in a smartphone. The UI is far beautiful then any se phone todate even the x1. Also the phone is slim and very sleek.

In a German forum they are telling that there's a huge speed improvement on the w910i with firmware R1FA036. So I think we can expect the same for the k850.

Some other improvements to.

But I think they where on an old firmware version...
R1EA030

Shitty SE...

I'm sick of people who are trying to introduce other manufacturers' brand.
Especially when I am impatiently waiting for something like a new firmware.

Get a life, mate.

Go to he11 sonyericsson, and then burn there forever.

If we pay 350 euro, we should atleast get one decent FW update..

Well, my next phone is a nokia, and that company use to give the users plenty if interesting updates.

I thought K850 would get an update. If not, so does W910 and K660. They has the same project lines.

I hear it from my dad's friend who work at SE, although he didn't say the release date of the firmware...
