I think Xperia Ultra will be a new line of Sony phones; actually a n ultra version of their flagship. I believe it will be advertised like Sony Xperia Ultra > Samsung Galaxy Mega.

i agree with motvikt. people don't want to see that lip around a screen anymore, no matter how thin it is. unless it can be so very thin that it's practically unnoticeable.. like if they were able to fit it around the white, rim area of the XS. then it might be feasible.
also, not sure how much it would effect it, but if it was IR optical touch, using it under water would be different, no? with the way the light bends
