What says that 12 megapixel is better than 8,1?
Stop looking at just megapixel, who cares if it have 12, 15 or 20 megapixel it al depends on the sensor, optic and so on.

All I really want is a non smartphone touchscreen phone. Would that be too much? Not necessarily soon but this year something better than the koreans have.

Its not about the quality or the quantity. Its about the hype. A 12 mp phone sounds much better than an 8 mp, and thats what samsung is looking at with their release.

With Samsung releasing the 12MP phone, it will seriously slow sales of the 8MP phones. The only good thing I see is that the 8MP phones will be cut price.
Is the latest Xperia going th run the new WinMo. Can the X1 run it i.e. is there going to be a software update? There are a few rumbles not from
though, that some devices at MWC will be running the new WinWo.
Since the good UK members are covered in snow, give us some presents Santa.

what I DO know for sure - their announcement on the 9th of Feb for their 'biggest release of the year' (their words, not mine) is their flagship for this year & its meant to be something REALLY special...

So I guess Samsung will have the honors of announcing the first 12MP global mobile phone. SE had the honors with 8MP but Samsung released their 8MP first.
