The main thing is that i traded in 2 other brands before (a MDA vario, and a N82) for a SonyEricsson. I am so used to this kind of user expierence, and ironed out user menu. But because of this choice i have SE for about 7 years now, and it is pretty much always the same, and it is becoming pretty boring.

The iphone is pretty sweet, nice apps, gaming etc.... but i am a bit scared that i must trade it in also, because it wont give me a smooth experience. Like the iphone hasnt got any form of multitasking, which i use sometimes on my SE.... Especially when SE is doing so great with the new w995 (it even has a 3.5 mm jack!)

And the other thing is that it is rumoured that SE will release a android phone, which is pretty much the same as iphone os, but without the weird restrictions like no skype over the air, only trough wifi, and no competing apps for the build in functions (opera browser). This andoid SE (or even the cool symbian Satio) will be i able to get a lot faster if i chose the w995 with a 1 year contract. (you could only get the iphone with a 2 years contract here in the Netherlands)

what is your opinion? am i just that much of an SE fanboy, that wont find another smooth user experience? or do you want to pleasure me with some iphone bashing?

Well i have both the W995 and the Iphone 3G.
To me, the phone i uses is the W995, it have a great cam, it does everything well, it doesn't have the wow thing the Iphone might have, but for everyday use, i think it will suit you just fine imo.
But why don't you test out both devices, find out which one for you, and go for it.
Iphone gives a great web experience, so if that is a feature oyu use alot, it might be something to consider, if not, then W995 is the best SEMC device yet.
Exciting, maybe not, but it will do pretty much all, and do it well, and fast.

Anyone got a nice case for theirs yet? I've ordered a silicone one from someone off ebay, which hasn't arrived yet, but see there are now leather ones with bits cut out.

I changed my mind about the silver w995 and now have black. When I took the battery cover off the silver I could see where the silver spray paint ended and was concerned it could come off in time. Black looks really nice with the free mini theme.
