Two things:

1. Nice shots in Australia by 1020

2.Great revolution image technology by Apple

Amazes me using Nokia Camera app with 1 second exposure even the Lumia 520(which is my spare second phone) takes respectable night shots more detailed than Sony

Sorry I know wrong thread

Night/low light is 90% of my reasoning for using this phone as my primary (while keeping the 808 for daylight).... I have however discovered another fun thing where this phone does pretty well. In all fairness, I can't compare it to any other devices but shooting directly into the sun and then hitting "autofix" gives an HDR-like image... pretty cool IMO

Wow fantastic. I was thinking of getting a Lumia 1020 for having a top camera. Has your experience of the 1020 been positive overall as a smartphone aswell as a camera??

I'm probably not the best person to ask as I don't really use it as a "smartphone" per say... I mostly just take pictures, text message and email.... Having said that, I love the phone and fact that I can access documents etc on my PC, tablet and phone all running windows 8.

maybe somebody more "smartphone" savvy could chime in on your question regarding it's performance as a proper smartphone.

1020 should be just as good as any Lumia running WP8 . 8.1 coming soon to improve it.

@Bono: You've had the 1520, didn't you? Why do you think the 1020 would be any different as a smartphone? Same OS, with smaller screen and superb camera.
Just as with the 808, you'd need to take your time to get to know the camera, for best results.
When you're going to trade it in, after ten days or so, don't buy it, you'd only waste your money.

I kinda mean like how is the battery etc?? Day to day usage and using camera. I already know how Nokia Camera app works and how to take longer exposures etc
