I suggest You to make repair through SE PC Companion. This force close is something that should never happen.
I know, I was thinking the same.
Does repair mean like updating all over again. I know I have tp click on repair on PC Companion but is it like updating all over?
What a Mess!

Same Here, Thoroughly enjoying the official Gingerbread update in India on my phone.
Wifi tethering is Absolutely Awesome.
UI is very polished. The new timescape widget is pretty fluent.
However i wanted to ask a few things:
1) How to turn on and off the "Facebook-inside-Xperia" feature? Cant find any such option
2) In Contacts > Settings > Why is my "Show Status Updates" permanently Greyed out? How to select that option?
Thanks for any help.

To turn the FB Intergration On/Off go to Settings -Accounts&sync -Click on the Sony Ericsson Facebook Intergration (its the icon with the FB logo in the Phone) it should turn grey meaning its off.

I'm loving the new timescape widget. It's just right on. Even the new gmail is very nice. I can now copy from emails which was missing before. Still need to get time out for the repair but I'm sure it will be resolved.
Any good apps that supports only 2.3.3? Besides flash of course
Great job SE. Love you for this!

@Indiandawg
Once you get your music player problem sorted out and if you're into music, get Equalizer, a free app that allows custom eq on the stock player. I now have the actual audio awesomeness of the music player and can fully utilize the facebook like feature at my disposal. I was sceptical at first about it as I thought I'd mainly be using Poweramp, well not anymore! I've since ditched Poweramp
It's only compatible with 2.3 and above (yes, that's us
)

@Tsepz: Thanks for pointing that out...
But i still want to ask .. when i go into contacts > menu button > settings > The "show status updates" option is permanently greyed out...
How do i select it to turn it on?
In 2.1 android the Facebook status updates could be seen directly from under the contacts name...
And Has Sony ericsson removed the "last calls/missed calls" widget?... that was pretty useful...
Other than that 2.3 is extremely fast. No noticeable lag..

Thats odd, my "Show Status Updates" isnt greyed out, i was able to select to show All.
Maybe what it wants you to do is 1st sync your FB and Twitter contacts, then it wont be greyed out?
Yep, they removed that widget, they also removed the Web browser widget that had History and last visited, wonder why they removed those? They were very useful.
