Hi Jojo! Great to have you around here.
Had a good, relaxing weekend, thanks. The weather was fantastic for February, clear blue skies and mild temperatures.
Went for a ride on the superbike yesterday, but avoiding routes around the area where I know there are speed cameras...
I'm still busy with paperwork at the moment though. I've finished most of it, so should be able to catch some sleep soon...I wish I was more of a morning person.
You certainly seem to be a good example of a 'morning person', kinda like the SE India thread's official alarm clock.
How was your weekend?

@da wanqsta: The fact that you don't see a lot of old XR3's on the road indicates that it was indeed a "kakka" car... The Golf on the other hand is fast and durable but I just don't like the feel of the car when I'm on the road- I feel naked and exposed. But all that said the CitiGolf is still one of the most popular "starterpacks" in South Africa.

You know all these new and old cars will always be in the Gtis shadow.
From the 80s the XR3 was only there to give the GTi competition but never really stole the show from the GTi.
Even the Opel Superboss tried and failed.
Today theres alot of competition, the Ford ST and the Opel OPC and even the new Mazda 3MPS.
My verdict, the package of the GTi is very hard to beat and even with their 2.3/2.3l turbo engine of the new competitors the GTi is still very hard to beat.
GTi 5 will be released soon with a 166kw engine upgrade, new claimed specs of 0-100 in 6.0 seconds, thats faster than the ST par with the OPC and 0.1 second slower than the Mazda3MPS(very ugly looking car IMO).
The best is yet to come with the R Gti, 350+ kw!!!!!

@ da brixta,
'Starterpacks' LOL, good analogy.
Yup, even some of the older CitiGolfs, with the unusually 'soft' 1300 engine sold. I believe the later 1.4 engine could take much more abuse in these baseline spec models, but as I mentioned, I'm no serious car fundi.
One sees far less Opel Kadett 'T-Cars' and the like from the late 80's than CitiGolfs or 'Jumbo' Golfs etc.
I'm now pretty much sticking with Toyota if I can help it; the reliability that I've had out of the Toyotas that I've owned has been amazing. A pity they are not the snazziest at all, ie. somewhat boring styling-wise (IMO) etc., but dang, they don't have high resale values for nothing....
Do you guys notice that on any TV clips or pictures of armed militia driving in war-torn countries, it's almost inevitably a Toyota bakkie of some sorts, clearly evident on the tailgate!

I'm back!
Sorry, been cut again, so I will be rare after hours for a while.
Been an uneventful weekend round here. Went to a birthday braai, made music with friends, and sat around for hours working on ideas on the guitar. Other than that, watched a movie or 3 and slept a lot as well.
Oh yeah, and my friend and I stayed up almost all of Friday and Saturday night playing the latest CSI game.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CSI:_3_Dimensions_of_Murder
We finished the game in hard mode almost. We did all the cases, and as we finished each put the level higher as it was rather easy. So yeah, that was fun. So what does this have to do with mobile phones. Well, I did not do anything on mine while we were playing this! hehe! Oh, and there were 2 Nokia handsets in the game, only one part of a case. The one was a 6111 I think, and the other I do not have a clue what the model was.
So I see it's fat tuesday tomorrow. And with the Rio carnival going, this should have been one crazy weekend/week ahead.

@ wanqa, those flower pictures are incredible! wow!
Okay, anyone up for games? Found this link on a HowardForums thread I have been getting games from. Sort of a compilation of most of the games from the thread, although they have missed a few. These games are all supposedly 320x240, which makes them perfect for k800i's, w900i's, and N73's should cover most of them as well as I have given quite a few of these games to a friend with a N73, and most (with one or 2 not working)of them seem to work. So for all you gamers out there, Merry Christmas! Hehe! Or is it Hoho?!
