Have you tried putting in a bowl of dry rice?
I had the same situation with mine I dunked it and I did the rice thing and it worked
give it a shot

Got my X10 back today from the Repair Centre.They swapped the motherboard and now my Gingerbread is running smoothly.Very happy.
