thanks mate, wallpaper is now in my K800 not much pics because of pity weather - a lot of dirty snow, no sun, etc. nothing interesting around and there is no opportunity to go somewhere else

small comparision between:
K800 (R8BF003, driver Raider v6.6.5) - first pic
C901 (R1GA028, driver original) - second pic

I used auto mode on both but sometimes for K800 I had to enable lower ISO 400 (manual) instead of ISO 640 (auto) to avoid massive noise and devastated quality

street lights at night. K800 is manual ISO 400
colors from K800 are total disaster, C901 on the other side with almost real colors

flash on white surface. auto ISO 320 in K800, auto ISO 200 in C901
once again much better colors and details from C901

very bright fluorescent light
awful colors from K800, almost perfect from C901

flash in total darkness. auto ISO 320 in K800, auto ISO 200 in C901
details from K800 are really bad because of high ISO, colors are bad too. do I have to say anything about result from C901?

night street with not much light. auto ISO 640 in K800, auto ISO 400 in C901
noise level from K800 is huge. pic from C901 is a bit too dark but without massive noise

curiosity. auto ISO 250 from K800 and auto ISO 320 from C901, strange isn't it?
nevermind, higher ISO from C901 looks better than lower ISO from K800

daylight, snow
small underexposure on both pics. too much cyan color in pic from K800 and too much red from C901
K800 pic seems to be sharper but details are better in pic from C901 when watched at full size

I checked autofocus and seems that all is well, although there were problems similar to those in K800

- AF light assist sometimes disturb during AF when the camera is close to the object
- standard problem with wrong focus on area with weak contrast or not well visible edges between colors

ha! I love it since first day

@ Raiderski
What is the prg number of the software of the C901 you tryed?
I thought if those factors you mentioned could cause the problem, but not. Sadly the focusing with AF light isn't precise either on medium distance (1-5m). And I know that focusing in some cases is done well only on the high contrasted edges, but the C901 focuses wrong sometimes in those cases too. In spite of focusing wasn't great, with K850, the K850 focuses well in those cases when C901 doesn't manage to get a well focused picture (in spite of it indicates that focusing is done).
So there is a problem in my case. The hardware is ok -I suppose- so it should be a software bug in my case -and some others' who experinced the same problem.

And I loved the C901 from the first day (15th, July), but I didn't used, I waited the release of the language pack, which contains hungarian, because I use T9 with messaging. At the end of september was changed the language pack, and the phone get R1GA028 at the same time. Then I started to use it. After few weeks I started to realise (because I didn't take to many photos at that time) that focusing doesn't perform so, as it should. Since then I'm waiting an update, or something to solve this problem, because I want to love it again as on the first days, and to be proud of it, and of its performance like of my K750 (back in 2005-2007).

I don't think we will get anything until Raider gets his own c901 which could be months, until then we should be grateful for the great camera driver we have already by jigonx. Plus it would solve focus problems people talk about.

@raider

do you think you will try the camera driver or will your girlfriend not allow you?
