So, who here has used an extended battery for some time and hwo would you rate it?
I now have the extended battery (3600mA) and I'm wrapt! It's extra time rocks!
I took my phone off charge 4.30am yesterday at 88%. It's now 7.30pm the next day, 39 hours later and the battery is still at 46%. The phone has had light use in that time, but I did play music for about an hour today.
So, the extra uptime is worth it if you don't mind the increased weight and girth. For me, a worthwhile trade.

wasn't x10 supposed to get some update to give us the sony instant panorama feature? i know there's a beta app, but i thought we were getting it as part of an update too. i may be mistaken.

Nope, no panorama. It would be stupid to give all the x10 owners the new features. It has come a long way anyway, 1.6-->2.3 i'm not complaining, good job SE!

I have a question...
My X10 has such awful battery life. It will in all seriousness die on me after only a few hours of usage, including listening to music, which kills the battery. My phone's about 18 months old, so I'm thinking that might be the problem.
Would a new battery help? Or is this just the way it is?
Because right now it's either a new battery, or just jumping ship to my brother's old iPhone 3GS, which has excellent battery life and a much nicer screen, however far worse camera, and since I'm used to android, I find iOS to be a bit heavy-handed to use.

A new battery should do it, remember that the lithium batteries benefits from shorter recharges.
But
"much nicer screen" haha, take another look mate, bloody h'll you can clearly see the pixels on the 3GS's screen.
