@da wanqsta: I've read about the war Sky are waging with Virgin over fees for basic channels like Sky One. Never realised the Branson actually owned the former NTL and Telewest. Wouldn't Sky have a valid complaint of anti-competitiveness but seems like a gross cross-subsidisation.

@ da brixsta,
Ya it pretty much is, but Virgin's main beef with Sky, which they've made known to the public, is that what they were originally quoted for some of the premium Sky content, which include popular tv series like Lost, Prison Break etc., is not what was finally demanded or proposed by Sky.
From what I've heard, it nearly doubled as things evolved, and Virgin was not going to budge, despite the risk of losing some prime viewing content.

Sky on the other hand, claim that they have been openly prepared to negotiate terms further with Virgin, which included reducing 'Sky royalties' per Virgin Media customer, but as we know, there's always 2 (or more) sides to a story...

Oh Samsung...how predictable was this: the D900 is getting long in the tooth, so now there is a 'chrome' version of the handset through O2...

Honestly, it should've been called a silver D900 with a few chrome accents n' bits.

Secondly, O2 online now have the very business-orientated Nokia E65 slider in stock:

The Stormers actually managed to win a game away from home and all the South African teams performed well in the Super 14...I might just want to follow from here on out/

Hey everyone! My phone is finally back on. Decided to drop my 500sms bundle for 200, since my texting has dropped drastically since using mxit to chat, and pretty much because i am not exactly as social as i used to be.

@ deluded, nice pics! Love old buildings, especially detailed close-ups.

@ gucci, see if you can get your hands on pirates of the caribbean for your psp. I enjoyed that a lot. And i also quite like tony hawk on the psp, but that is a totally different game.

@ wanqa, nice guitar pic! Wanna get me a cheap electric sometime soon. Will probably get a squire strat. Think they go for like 1000 bucks, and can sound like a 3k guitar if i spend some time on it.

@ Kryptik, thanks for dropping the message bro. And happy belated birthday!

So right now i am not a big fan of this so-called layout, since i cannot see it at work. Maybe it is firefox, and it will work in internet explorer. Hope it is not that, cos i hate internet explorer.

@francois: I'm using Firefox and basically all the elements of the site still remain. Laffen has only changed the look which is now a lot more smoother. I've experienced it to load faster than before.
One bug I've picked up on HTML lite is that you don't know where a quote ends.

So we had the whole eclipse thing tonight. Got some snaps of it using my zoom, terrible quality, but fair considering the moon looks like a star when i am not zoomed in at all.

I found recently that the digital zoom works great if i zoom in on an object that is close by, like 15 to 20 cm away. Used it to get better perspective over december when we did our network installations. Better than lying face on the ground and still making out stuff all.

Ya, took a good few pics with the N73 and old Olympus digital cam, through my friend Dale's telescope again after the braaing.
Will upload the pics sometime tomorrow; both batteries are kaput at the moment due to my nagging perseverence, trying to get some decent shots through the telescope's viewfinder/aperture.
