A SUES re-flash will fix it now.
Will it permanently fix k850i for any possibility of BROD?

No, but it SUES puts a viable solution in your hands at your disposal without requiring shipping your phone to a repair center

yes i think so. A K850i fully reflashed with SEUS has no chance to get BROD issue. BROD happend in the past to those only who just updated (didn't reflash) to a newer firmware from some older one via SEUS.

Thanks a lot. I hope what you said is true. Although my K850i did not give me any trouble and BROD, my friend advice me to changes this mobile phone due to the issues he having on his K850i.

1)The BROD still affects 035 no matter how you installed it. It is however, less prevalent than in prior revisions.
2) Re-flashing with the older versions of SEUS was still a full system flash, not as you imply, a patch.

Hello everyone
I'm a complete noob when it comes to mobile phones
I have a K850 and the latest installed firmware according to my phone is R1CA037. I downloaded the update software from Sony's website and after going through the process (the software telling me to release "c"), it says my phone has the latest firmware
Reading this thread, it's apparent that there is a new update out that irons out many of K850's bugs and slowness but I can't figure out how to get the software to install the newer functions
I have used the search function, but to no success
Can someone please tell me how to update my phone?
Thank you guys in advance

Hello Wakashizuma ,
As you can see at the first page of this thread the newest firmware is R1FA035.
Is your phone branded? Does it have operator stuff like splash screens, screen savers ,etc. If yes, this could be the reason, some operators haven't released the newest version.

Hi
No my phone is not branded and I didn't receive it from a carrier. It's unlocked so I can use whichever provider I'd like (Freedom is good

)
Any ideas or suggestions?
Thank you

I have been offered the c902 as my insurance replacement, would you go for that c902 instead?

BROD.... I kinda new it was coming when the phone started rebooting without doing much (TrackID, and some other programs) and I KNEW I should have backed up my phone book and re-flashed it ahead of time but oh well. Live and learn. NOw I'll be doing a backup to Memory card at least once a week... At least SEUS fixed it. Phone went for 4 months before this BROD.
