Hi,

i've been browsing the forums here for the message that - luckily - I'm apparently not the only one to receive, "GPRS-parameters not supported". I alos read most of the tips and tricks, but no luck so far. I tried changing the settings, getting them both from SE and Orange Netherlands, been on the phone for two days with a guy from Orange who can't figure out what's wrong, been deleting and setting up profiles and everything, Internet Access just will not work (strange enough, Orange World worked straight away).

So what I tried now was, get my friends T610, got the sim from my Z600, put it in his T610, set all settings, and boom, it works. Apparently, the network's set-up alright, and my settings are correct, it's the phone that's screwing things up

So now, I want to see what i can do to it, and the first thing I wanted to try to do is a factory reset. but what exactly happens then. What info do I lose (i have most data backed up on PC). Do I lose SMS-es as well?

And the most important question, does it seem likely that going back to the factory settings will help?

SW version is R6C005, so I don't think an SW upgrade is necessary, but i could be wrong ofcourse...

Anybody has any other ideas why it might work on a T610, and not on a Z600?

being the impatient git that I am, I just did the factory reset thing. It didn't solve my problem, but i did end up with a fast and above that, empty, phone.

Anyone any idea why Orange Internet Access over GPRS works on one phone, but not on my own?

Couldn't say. But I get that message when I swap from PAYG to Contract sim. The GPRS settings are different. Also make sure you choose the right Wap Profile. Thats all I can think of. This message was posted from a S700
