For some reason, Handy Day 2005 has stopped working when I open the flip on my p910i - anyone got any idea how I can get this working again?

Did you uninstall keymapper? it needs that
Have you checked the preferences? you should have an option somewhere in there to enable a startup at flip open (I haven't got my phone on me right now!)
Have you installed SE desktop or orange desktop? they open as a priority over HD, and will stop it.
