> My P had a blackout today
Bookmark topic
Hey guys (and gals),
My p910i almost drove me crazy a couple of hours ago. Suddenly, the screen backlight went off. I switched it off and on again but nothing. Then i made a backup of my data hoping a reset would resolve everything... and it did. But when i restored the data the blackout stroke again. S**t!!! I did the reset again and now i am trying to put back and reconfiguring my p910i. Hopefully the light is back but my backup is useless now since it seems to be bearing the blackout bug...
My question is, are there some viruses that could affect the symbian phones or that's just a simple bug.

There are no
known virii for UIQ yet....so this is possibly just a bug.....btw, which firmware version is your pee on? Maybe it needs to see a doctor at the

service centre

don't forget there is a setting for the backlight in the control panel. Have a look and see if backlight is set to off. Someone else was complaining of this same problem, and simply had to change the setting.

Some apps can f**k up your backlight. Time Pane, PowerMP3 and rally pro contest are known apps, who can f**k up your backlight..

The light setting is set to ON. I really don't what happened. In what concerns the firmware, it must be very old. I just got my 910i unbranded 3 or 4 weeks ago and i haven't done any update yet. Here are my versions:
phone: r4b002
organiser and cda: r3a02
bluetooth: r2f

Hmm...r3a02 is definitely not the latest and stablest of firmwares for the p910....maybe you should just take to a serv center and update it to Organizer ver R4A10, which is rock solid....or the latest one which is R5A02 ( no significant difference over R4A10)...That should sort out your issue ( provided its not happenin due to any kind of hardware damage......you did'nt drop it anywhere, did you

)
