I've been tinkering around with the 'forward all call' command strings today (*21*[Phone number]# to set, #21# to cancel & retain the previous number, etc).

These work a treat; so much quicker than using my P910i's call divert menu. BUT ... I can only get them to apply to my Line 1 number. I have a Line 2 number active too, but I can't work out how to apply these strings to that number. I've obviously tried switching the phone to Line 2 before applying the strings, but to no avail -- the commands still only affect Line 1.

Can someone please enlighten me?

TIA.

Stuart

Don't know if this helps as I don't have the 910. However, I do have Line 2 on other phones and am with Orange. You are not able to forward any Line 2 calls with them. Used to be able but they did away witrh the service over a year ago. This means you can no longer forward line 2 to line 1 when going abroad for instance (you have to post a temporary a/message asking callers to ring line 1 no.) All extremely irritating.
+As I'm on the subject, why on earth are Orange producing a load of phones without line 2 capability (i.e. M500 and 2000). These are their own phones and Line 2 is meant to be one of their unique selling points. So annoying as I'm left with just the Treo 650 as an option for my next phone on Orange.
Anyways, sorry for the rant...hope the first part helped in some small way.

@wuz:

Using the P910i's divert call dialogue box, I can forward Line 2 calls on this phone.

I've since found that to avoid interfering with any forwarding options you may have set for fax and data, you need to use this form of the forwarding command:

*21*[number]*11#

This sets forwarding for speech calls only (and only Line 1 speech calls at that!!).

Another fly in the ointment is that the general cancel command (either ##21# to cancel and de-register or #21# to cancel and retain the last number used on the network system (so that you can use *21# to re-establish the previously set diverts later)) affects ALL diverts -- including those set for fax and data calls. It would be nice to think separate cancel commands are available ...??

Okay, sorted now, after a trawl through Google Groups. I can divert separately for Line 1 and Line 2, and cancel the diverts separately too, without affecting any fax or data diverts.

I've got the following commands set up as speed dials. So much quicker than going through the Divert calls menu!

Divert Line 1: **21*[number to divert to]*11#
Divert Line 2: **21*[number to divert to]*89#

Cancel Line 1 divert: ##21*11#
Cancel Line 2 divert: ##21*89#

... to any number APART from my Line 1 number, that is, which is what you said.

You mentioned the loss of Orange's unique selling points. Another is the demise of their Everyphone service, which is the reason I'm having to faff about with these forwarding commands in the first place!

Orange doesn't have many hooks left now (for me). After nearly a decade with them, I suspect it's only a matter of time before I jump ship.

I am on Orange (Bombay, India)

I can usually divert (unconditional) from my Prepaid number to my contract number using:
To activate- **21*number# 'ok'
To deactivate- ##002#

However, ##002# deactives everything. (Orange here gives some soft divert if unreachable and you get missed call alert later when you switch on). So I too use ##21# to cancel diverts.

Think Line2 divert codes would work only if Line2 selected upfront. (That means going to the Menus' to do it)
