Ok Ericsson fans. My R190 is now for sale on Ebay due to the need for money. Its complete and boxed and in perfect condition. Its for sale here:

(the satellite aerial is in the white box)
Unfortunately I cant send it outside of the UK due to the cost of sending it (it weighs about 3kg).

A major advantage of a satellite phone is having the ability to stay in touch when you are traveling outside of network range or signal...Say for when your in the middle of the sahara desert or top of a mountain or out to sea where their is no signal.

I know that the gsm mode (900 mhz) would work in UK, but would the satellite mode work there? or even in Europe?

The satellite part is designed for use on the ACeS satellite sytem which operates in the Asia pacific area not in europe.
