> k750i RDS Radio Question
Bookmark topic
I am just about to buy a k750, but I have one question for k750 owners in the US. Does the RDS function of the radio work in the US? Some of the stations in my area transmit RDS information, but I don't know if RDS is universal or if the standard is different in the US, meaning it wouldn't work on this phone. I am also interested in what the screen looks like when it displays the RDS information. Anyone have any pics? Thanks

Yes, RDS works fine in USA! The display: the song info, station id scrolls across the bottom of the screne.. example:

I have a W800i (similar to the K750i) and the RDS function works fine for me here in So Cal. It displays the name (i.e. call sign letters) of the radio station and it scrolls the name of the current song as well. However, only a very small percentage of the radio stations out here offer the RDS function. Of my 10 favorite stations, only 3 of them support the RDS function.

Keep in mind that it only works with stations that are broadcasting RDS.
