hi ive just got my wireless router set up which is wired to my PC but i wanna put some wep security on it, when i use the web configuration tool it keeps asking for a username and password for web admin, i havent a clue what this is
can anyone help?

you have to set the username and password first before it asks you for it. if its asking for it and you havent set it look at the user manual it should tell you the default name and password
