I have done a search on this topic but nothing is similar to what i'm having here.
Basically, before I turned off my phone just now, I saw the battery was 95% remaining. After I rebooted the phone, the meter shows 0%. This is the first time i'm having this problem.
I have nothing on the phone is running besides the default "contact" and defalut "message". Anyone has encounter this before?
Thank you.
Graphite.

May be battery problems.
It's reporting the wrong charge (Read below)
BTW, the other day I've found a great link!
How to prolong lithium-based batteries
http://www.batteryuniversity.com/parttwo-34.htm
Quote:
Simple Guidelines
- Avoid frequent full discharges because this puts additional strain on the battery. Several partial discharges with frequent recharges are better for lithium-ion than one deep one. Recharging a partially charged lithium-ion does not cause harm because there is no memory. (In this respect, lithium-ion differs from nickel-based batteries.) Short battery life in a laptop is mainly cause by heat rather than charge / discharge patterns.
- Batteries with fuel gauge (laptops) should be calibrated by applying a deliberate full discharge once every 30 charges. Running the pack down in the equipment does this. If ignored, the fuel gauge will become increasingly less accurate and in some cases cut off the device prematurely.
- Keep the lithium-ion battery cool. Avoid a hot car. For prolonged storage, keep the battery at a 40% charge level.
- Consider removing the battery from a laptop when running on fixed power. (Some laptop manufacturers are concerned about dust and moisture accumulating inside the battery casing.)
- Avoid purchasing spare lithium-ion batteries for later use. Observe manufacturing date. Do not buy old stock, even if sold at clearance prices.
- If you have a spare lithium-ion battery, use one to the fullest and keep the other cool by placing it in the refrigerator. Do not freeze the battery. For best results, store the battery at 40% state-of-charge.

but it was still good one minute ago (before I reboot).
I am tempted to think it's the problem on my phone rather then the battery.

Oh, I thought it was a recurring problem.
Disconnect your phone and place your battery in the freezer for a few minutes, but don't let it freeze!!
See if it improves.

Any specific reasons Graphite ?
@_LAU_> Informative interesting link there.. Could you further ellaborate how the discharge laptop battery every 30 cycle Point above helps ?
And I thought the freezer trick worked only for Dry Pencil Cell type battz. as they had water built up..

hello,
Thank you for all your responses.
The phone is only 5 months old.
And the problem disappeared after I put it on the charger / cradle again. Meaning once I put the phone on the cradle, the green battery meter display immediately.
Anybody know the reason behind? At least the problem is fixed.
Thank you again.
