Is there is any software needed to use the bluetooth remote on the PC?
It always says connection failed??

If not you need to have an external
adapter ( dongle) for it to be able to communicate with the phone and vice-versa

I have a external bluetooth dongle. I can share files between the pc and my phone, but i cant use the phone to control media player and use it as an remote. Do i need to install any software to use the HID blueooth remote on my phone?

I could not get it to work either, but they say ... initiating the "pairing" FROM the PC helps.. Try that and please please revert... I am really comfy with the S700 and would love to use it to the hilt....
