Why don't Sony just make a phone with super duper cameras (e.g. 7MP) and outrun their competitors?? why do they slowly increase the megapixels?? .3, .7, 1.3, 2.0. 3.2?? just curious.. becuz i'm sure they could easily make one... thanks!!

They want to sell these things to people who don't have more money than sense, that is, the average joe, since there are millions more of them, and very few like you who would hock your grandmother for a 7MP phone cam

Yip phones are designed for a target market! At a reasonable price!
So far the K750 cam is more than enough for most people. I agree they can make a 7 meg cam but theres no reason to do it right now. They should however try and improve their video quality!

Megapixels don't equal image quality. You must have a good lens too, and it's hard to fit high-quality optics into a small phone.
If you want a super duper camera, buy a camera.
