It's the Firmware SE programmers used on the P900 to emulate the P910, so that they could work before the P910 reached the production line.
Essentially, when you download this firmware you can transform the P900 into a P910.
Of course the hardware limitations of the P900 still exist: less memory, less disk and bluetooth problems.
Most people upgrade mainly because of the support for Memorysicks above 128 MB.
