I purchased a data cable for my k700i about 2 weeks ago. After many, many attempts i still cant get the thing working. I have downloaded software off the sony ericsson site and also off another site. It still says phone not connected. I have messed about with the com ports and tried allsorts. The only thing i can think of is the phone. The computer detects that it is connected but once i go on to the upload software it says no phone connected. Do i need to change any settings on the phone for this to work?
Any help would be gratefully received.

yes it is a usb data cable that come from ebay with a cd. but that cd seems no good.The cable supports my phone but there is no software on the cd that is relevant for my phone.

Have you tried just going into 'My Computer' and is there a Removal Disk in there ie. The stick inside the fone.

Hey Pazza, I had the same problem, probably the same cable.. `K coach`. I managed to downloaded a driver `DCU-11` from SE website and it worked... I`m still trying to work out how to download/upload files either way..
