Hi !

I just got my T39m (R3B006, prgCX125268, R3B006, prgCXC125147_TAE) last week and I could easily hook it up
with my PocketPC via IR port (just had to go to Extras/Infrared
port and select "ON" option). Yesterday I asked my mobile
provider to turn on GPRS for me and they also sent me
GPRS settings via SMS. After successfull installation, GPRS
worked fine, but then "Infrared port" setting was set on OFF.
And now everytime I select "Infrared port" ON it never stays
ON, it always resets back to OFF, thus disabling me from using
IR connection. I tried master resetting the phone but to no avail...

Any ideas, suggestions on how to fix the damn thing ?

Hi Crusier.

I am getting problems to config my T39 and a Cassiopeia E-200 this is my situation:

Cassiopeia E-200
* Ericsson T39 with GPRS activated (I have tried with a laptop and it works)
* Using Generic infrared modem @ 115200

The problem is that my cassiopeia seems to does not recognize the mobile
phone. The phone must say "connecting" but nothing happens.

I am getting this message from my pocketpc device:

"Trouble connecting:There is no answer at the number dialed. Verify phone
number and then try again. To change your connection settings, tap Settings.
If the problems continues, contact your ISP or network administrator"

I am using this modem string to perform the dial:

at+cgdcont=1,"IP","my_isp"
The number dialed is *99***1#
Flow control ---> hardware
Using server-assigned IP address
Using software compression & IP Header compression
Using server-assigned addresses

What am I missing here?

Any help is highly appreciated!!!. Best regards.

Pablo

Thank you to everyone who read this issue.

I have succesfully connect via IrDA with another GPRS terminal, so that
confirms that my T39 is not working properly.

I would like to share some intresting points:

Mobile Side:
----------------
1) I did not configure anything in the new mobile phone neither a data or
GPRS account So that makes me think that all the information rest in the SIM card?

Cassiopeia side:
--------------------
2) In the Internet settings, extra modem dial string, I had +cdgcont="1","my
isp apn"I didnt place that command string, the mobile dialed and connected with no
problem.

I will send my T39 for repairs in order to get the Irda port working again.

Best regards.

Hello,

Got myself a Mobile Action Infrared Adapter (www.mobileaction.com) to (of cource) communicate with my PC. But the %^$&* thing won't seen my phone. Could this be because the driver of the Infrared Adapter isn't compatible with the software version of my phone.

I've got software version:
R3A022
pgrCXC125269
R3A022
prgCXC125147_TAE

Greetz,
Mart
