Because almost all of the web sites and all of the people say about using bluetooth in the cars, i was wondering WHY?

I bought a jabra bluetooth, but i used it for one month and that was it. I was fed up draining my mobile's battery so easy and also to have to charge the bluetooth all the time.

I have a mounting in my car , on the left of my right steering wheel car, for my p900 and my handsfree is always connected to that....
No worries about batteries and other stuff..
I just put the phone on the bracket and that's it, is connected. And the wires dont bother me at that place...
I just dont think is worth while paying 50 pounds for something you can have it in a more efficient way for 25 pounds....

because with bluetooth you can walk round in the street and look a complete dork with your 'im-oh-so-important' bluetooth headset.

Well some people who don't have a car mount may wish to just leave their phone in their bag. The same goes for non-car applications, such as walking without having a P9xx-sized lump in your pocket (although I personally wouldn't walk around with my bt headset permanantly on!)

Also, there are so many contract deals these days that include free bt headsets (usually with cheaper phones than P9xx), that the headset cost isn't so much of a worry.

Finally, there is no risk of microwave radiation through the bt headset. When the scare-stories over radiation began, everyone started using handsfree, until boffins worked out that the hadsfree wires act as an aerial and still help transmit microwaves to the head! This hasn't been such a newsworthy topic lately, but I don't recall hearing anyone say the risk had diminished.
