i'd like to know if there is an available upgrade/update of t610's firmware...what's the latest firmware and how do i download it...

You can't "download" the firmware from anywhere for the T610. Go to an se service centre to upgrade to the latest version.

if u have luck and the service personal is nice, maybe u get it for free. as i know only fones under warranty get free fw upgrade

that'll need a lot of luck...the service personnel are usually nice...but the 'free' part ...thats something else

Some of what has been said is not correct. The latest (and last) version is R7A011, though it is reported to be the same as R6C005. There is no reason to avoid this version as someone says; it is perfect and am improvement on R4C. You can update the firmware yourself with a terminator dongle, which you can buy off of eBay. If you need any further info on this, just ask. :-)
