> K750i and the dreaded dust!
Bookmark topic
Am on my 2nd K750i due to having a shed load of dust under the screen of my first handset. Was assured that was a one of and that could not happen through normal usage. Looking at my new handset there seems alot of dead space around both the joystick and the soft keys. Is it possible for dust to enter through here and collect on the screen? I would have thought that SE would have sealed the screen, if not why not...surely it can't be that hard or costly.
Lots of my mates have handsets full of dust and it never bothers them...it drives me nuts once I spot a bit under the screen I may as well chuck the phone away as it will make me insane. Maybe I should have looked beyond SE due to this worry.

Ive heard it happen to most SE phones. Personally my k750 hasnt done it yet and Ive had it for nearly 3 months but then again I have only just taken off the little plastic screen cover that came with it. After looking at my k750 I cannot see how it is possible for dust to get underneath the screen as it looks to be sealed.

If it's like the k700 there's a rubber gasket in the cover which seals around the screen to isolate it from the gaping holes around the keys and joystick. Mine seems quite effective so far. 12 months in and no dust, but it would bug me!

Mine is starting to gather dust under the screen. My k700 never had this issue
K750 is about 1-2 months old, and although the dust can only be seen when light is shining directly on it, it's very irritationg.
If I buy a T6 screwdriver and open the case to clean it, will I break the seal around the screen (which appears to be dodgy if it is letting dust through)?

I wonder if this dust problems goes for the w800 also or is it just the k750s they built crappy?

I can recall my k700 also had some dustcorns inside the display. Dont know if this a common problem on the k750. It should be the same on the w800 then

Dust gets into mine through the speaker holes...
I only get round it by occasionally taking the case off and giving it a clean.

T68m, dust. K700, dust. K750, dust. Only phone I've had thats never accumulated dust was a S700. Probably because it didn't use a joystick.
