Maybe this has been asked before but can somebody tell me if the pop-up screen that asks u to confirm what acount u want (in this case, the mms account) has to appear before u can receive the message?

You can set it up manually so that it never needs to ask you this. It needs to know which account to use for downloading the MMS body to your phone.
