Yes it seems dat for 75 pounds you can use unlimited and without charge gprs and internet (using your phone as modem or use a mobile connect card). But you have to sign a fair use pollicy that has a limit of 1gb/month. Above 1gb you get charged a small fee for the extra megabytes.

I just called the number I quoted earlier twice and spoken to different telephnoe people, and I also went to a vodafone shop to pick up a 3G data card, and none of them had heard about whats being discussed here

There are no such things as life time contracts (even when it benefits the customer). It's against "principles of contracts" in most modern states.

Here's an example of why there are no life time contracts in the world of business: If you could pay 75 pounds to get gprs "for free" the rest of your life, then what would happen to that contract if the technology is replaced with another one that you don't find as good? You could sue the company and claim high loss of money - even consumer services in many countries are against such business arangements.

@all

If there is such deal as mentioned, then it must be for a limited time. Perhaps during a 6/12/24 month contract depending on what deal you originally signed up for.
