Ok guys ive got a k750i and im very pleased with it. my bird decided to copy me and got one for herself but she got hers from vodafone who have branded the f**k out of the thing. it really is bad, the menus look so much worse plus they are a lot slower.
although i know you can send it away to be debranded (anyone got a link to a place that does it in the uk?) i was wondering if there is anyway of doing it without sending it away, like through using the data cable and the internet or something. any help you guys can give would be grately appreciated.

You don't have to send it away. It can be done using the USB cable. Just read this link:
