my friends from greece send me messages to my phone in greek and the greek letters don't show up, my phone can write greek but not read it, while in greece i was able to receive messages in greek, any help is greatly appreciated thanks

Since you've recieved SMS in Greek whilst in Greece you obviously have the Greek writing in your phone.
Sounds to me like this is has to do with your network provider. Their system can't translate the Greek letters so you better ask your mate to write in English or use "ordernary" letters instead.
You can contact your network and ask them if there is anything they can, or are willing to, do. They might add Greek to their system when they get the request (if you are lucky ).

just because cingular doesnt have this phone in their records they cant help me how lame, is there anything else i can do?

Sounds like you are pretty stuck unless you buy a phone that are in their records.

its the sim card, with my vodafone sim card i can get greek sms
