I need drivers to connect my K750i to a computer running W98, I dont neeed the full sync capacity, just file transfer to/from the phone.

It really sucks that SE doesnt supply this on the disc that came with the phone.

Would a generic USB memorycard reader driver work to acess the mem-stick?

If the generic card reader supports win98 then it should be fine, or you could get a bt dongle like the D-Link DBT 120, I had this running on win98 with no problems.

W98 does not have native usb-support, and furthermore W98 are nolonger supported by Microsoft.

I see no problem in SE not supplying drivers for an outdated operating system which are not even being supported anylonger by Microsoft themselves.

If you want to have support for the latest devices on the market, you should upgrade your operating system to match.

I too was very disappointed to realise that SonyEricsson haven't included drivers on the CD-ROM for my Commodore 64. I think it sucks that SE didn't develop a CD-ROM drive for the C-64 so that I could read the CD they supplied and hence install the C-64 drivers they haven't supplied.

I just can't understand why SE wouldn't support my ancient computer with their latest devices?

I can supply you the C64 drivers on a tape! I wrote them in basic. Just put in the tape, type in: load en press return. Then press play on the tape. And when the C64 says: READY. Type in RUN and press return again. Well now it seems nothing happend, but now you can connect your K750i to the cartrige port at the back of the C64 with the supplied cable. Oh silly me, SE does not support the C64 and they didn't manufacture the correct cable... alas...

Dont joke. In theory you could connect a K700i to a C64 (if it has a serial port, cant remeber if it does) by using AT commands.

The RS232 serial port wasn't available on the C64. It did have a serial port, (not compatible with todays serial port devices) it's speed was 300 characters per second. A character equals on byte, so that's roughly 2400 bps, compared to the RS232 serial port speed of 115000 bps!!!!
