I've had the SE K750i for a good four hours now and it's impressed me a lot. However, I'm having slight problems with the network (Orange) not allowing me to show caller ID on both incoming and outgoing calls. Well, I've given Orange a couple of calls and they've sent me a couple of Sim Updates (neither of which have worked). After the second call, I'm told they will get back to me after they've done some technical blah blah. Fair enough. But apparently I could have taken the battery out and replaced it, to see if any difference is made. Right, here's the damn problem. Either I have very sweaty palms or I've lost all strength in my arm/hand... but I can't take the bloody cover off. What am I doing wrong? There's no cheeky button hidden somewhere on the back is there?

Press hard on both sides of the phone while pulling the cover. It should do the trick.

With that name of yours you should be prepared - the battery cover of the K750 certainly will jam...
Anyway, I've experienced the same challenge on most of my company's K750's, and the solution to the problem is violence. Place the nails of your three middle left hand fingers against the profile on the back of the battery cover, support the phone with the thumb and pull!!! Problem is that the battery blocks the cover from being pressed downwards, so you can't release the cover the same way as with no battery inside. So you just have to use some force. It will get easier after a few runs, both because the phone is loosening up, and because you learn the right technique.
Someone should make i short instruction video of this very important issue.

Come on, you can do it! Try to press gently down on the battery cover (on the end next to the camera) and slide the cover straight away at the same time. There is a hook on the edge of the cover that has to be released.
Pressing the phone at both sides, as suggested by another, also can help as it will make the back cover bulge a bit, but only if you press the battery cover down, or it will bulge too.

I've opened over two thousand of these phones in the last few weeks and they can be a bit tricky at first... Here's how I remove the battery cover:
* Put middle of thumb over silver "smiley" bit of the battery cover; rest front of phone on forefinger.
* Gently press down with tip of thumb between the silver bit and the edge of the cover closest to the camera whilst pulling thumb over the silver "smiley" bit.
Sorta works for me!
(BTW, if SE put a :SE logo the other side of the back you would have two green eyes either side of the camera and a smiley silver grin on the battery cover... Honest!)
