You can use Windows Explorer to xfer files as well, when the phone is connected to the pc you should be able to see it as a drive and access it as such. You can store the mp3 files in the \MP3 folder there.

yeah but you cant play the music file in the 'walkman' media player unless you transfer using the disc2phone software. And no way is that software slow!! try transferring an album using bluetooth, and compare it to disc2phone via USB. i think you will find it is MUCH quicker....

it uses 100% cpu when its encoding to the default 128kb when I'm transferring say 50 mp3s at once. Wish its just as simple as drag and drop in the Windows Explorer

May I ask why you need to encode at 128k when xferring files? What would be the benefit of that? I mean when you have mp3 files at 192k or more, why would you go down to 128k?

What good does Disc2phone do other than encoding if you need to, or adding song titles and album titles to the mp3 files?

Just asking out of curiosity; because if dragging and dropping videos works, why wouldn't dragging and dropping mp3's using Windows Explorer?

You can so play mp3 files in the walkman mediaplayer even if you dont use the disc2phone software. There are no restrictions prohibiting the use of this software, this is just a transcoder and dragndrop software, it does nothing special. Any supported file can be put onto the memorycard in any way you want and it will play in the walkman mediaplayer.

It is not slow, if you dont reencode at the same time, but simply drag and drop, then its just as fast as moving files in normal file explorer.
Sounds like you are transfering music files to the internal memory of the phone and not the memorycard. Note that fast usb transfer speed is ONLY to the memorycard, the internal memory of the phone still use seriel emulation and seriel speeds to transfer.
