Hello,

Is there any way for my P910 PowerMP3 to display Chinese song information (both song info and file name are in Chinese). I'm sure I can view the chinese song info on a PC. But once I transfer it to my P910, the letters become garbage.

I did try to enter the info manually (one by one) on the phone, it looks ok. However, once I quit PowerMP3 and relaunch the app, everything was back to before.

Any idea?

Yes you can do it, but you'll need to flash your phone with Chinese software first!
That's what i did with my K700i, did a firmware update to unbrand and at the same time went with K700c (chinese) software same but looses german, french etc and just has English + Chinese. I use it to chat with friends in China and taiwan, but also displays mp3 info etc.

I dont' know how easy it is to get this firmware try looking on TotalMultiserver but you'll have to buy credits...

No, you don't need to flash to Chinese firmware. This has been an issue with many English P910i users who wish to read proper Chinese on their phones. First of all, you need have Chinese font (which definitely works cos I am using this) or Chinese input (some users still cannot read Chinese in MP3 players...) installed on your P910i. Then, try install Itunes 4.9 and use Itunes to confirm the Chinese songs can be read properly when the playlist is displayed in Itunes. Thirdly, are u using Windows XP? Is it English or Chinese XP? My method definitely works on English XP with Chinese turned on in Control Panel, but I use PRC Chinese instead. Check out their P910i forum from the URL below if you need the Chinese font (font only not input) for your P910i. Hope this helpls
